The Highland Park Neighborhood Association is proud
to announce a new (and free) series of guided tours of Highland Park. Join neighborhood resident Amy Priestley who will lead the first two in a series of walks through the Highland Park Botanic Garden and Arboretum including the Pinetum and more. This summer’s walks are Saturdays July 18th and August 29th starting at 1 PM at the Lamberton Conservatory. This series of walks is designed to highlight seasonal changes among the park trees and shrubs and environment, so attending multiple walks is encouraged. Please remember to wear appropriate footwear as some areas or paths may require good traction and footing will vary with seasonal conditions. Amy will continue conducting these tours through the fall and winter on the following Saturdays at 1 PM: September 26th, October 17th & 31st, November 21st, and December 19th . 2010 dates to be announced. Amy attended graduate school at Oregon State University’s College of Forest Science and her time for these tours is made available through her business Labor of Love Garden Design & Landscape Artistry. Depending on interest Amy will continue conducting these tours through the fall, winter and spring on dates to be announced.
