Vote for the Neighborhood
At the CaptureRochester Competition you will find quite a few neighborhood related photos that need your vote (and “love” – see the site to understand what that means ).
For example, my portrait of the Neighborhood itself is available. (Click on it to vote). I took this from the top of the Highland Hospital Garage hoping to portray a sense of not just the City’s skyline, but also that our family friendly area sits close in its shadow, albeit well lined with trees.
And four furry friends of co-chair Roger Ramsay are also very worthy of your consideration. These guys and gals were helping us break down our exhibit at the lilac festival and after about 25 attempts, I think I got a nice portrait.
Please note that in the first CaptureRochester book, neither a lilac or Highland Park was included (Although there were many photos of empty chairs at the beach!). So if you want to help Rochester’s signature lilacs get the closeup that I think they deserve, here’s another picture to vote on. Use the CaptureRochester photo search if you are interested in finding other lilac and Highland Park entries that are ballot worthy.
You will have to register to get your vote to count. But once you have gone to that bother, an even better way to join the fun might be to load up your own portraits, park shots and neighborhood captures !!
