Lamberton Conservatory Holiday Show Continues until January 10
“Once again, the Lamberton Conservatory will celebrate the holiday season with a festive botanical wonderland of eye-catching colors and aromatic scents, filling the entire complex, including the newly restored historic main dome,” said County Executive Maggie Brooks when announcing the opening. “The Conservatory will also be open for extended hours on Thursday evenings, so even more visitors will be able to include this outstanding seasonal exhibit as part of their family’s holiday itinerary.”
The 2009 Holiday Show will be on display at the Lamberton Conservatory from Friday, December 4, 2009 through Sunday, January 10, 2010. The Conservatory is located in Monroe County’s Highland Park at 180 Reservoir Avenue and is open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (closed Christmas Day). The Conservatory will be open for extended hours on Thursdays until 9:00 p.m., throughout the run of the show, including Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Admission is as follows: Adult Admission is $3.00 per person; Youth Admission (ages 6 through 18) and Senior Admission (ages 62 and up) is $2.00 per person; Admission for supervised Children (through age 5) is FREE.
Back again by popular demand, the focal point of the Holiday Show is an eight-foot high Poinsettia pyramid, which has become an annual favorite among visitors. Also anchoring the exhibit are fresh evergreen Christmas Trees and lighted tropical plants, throughout the building. Natural evergreen wreaths are also exhibited within the Conservatory.
